A Romantic Novel:

A Captivating Journey of Love, Fame, and Music.

For over four hours, one hundred thousand fans stood cheering. When it was over, Chris Anders stood there, embracing the applause. But even as the love from his fans washed over him, he felt something was missing.

This is just the beginning of the story.

Chris grew up on a farm, where his parents, wanting more for him than the hard life they knew, discouraged him from following in their footsteps. They envisioned a stable, predictable life for him—a wife, children, and a 9 to 5 job. Chris, however, was always a gifted musician, yet he lacked the belief in himself to pursue a career in music, aiming instead for a degree and a professional job.

Tragedy strikes when a tornado claims his parents’ lives, leaving Chris lost and adrift, traveling the country in search of something he can’t quite define. Drawn to his music but mistrustful of it, he wanders. It is then that Fate takes an interest in guiding him toward the destiny he is meant to embrace. However, Fate needs a little assistance to ensure Chris follows and stays on the right path. This assistance comes in the form of a mysterious café and its proprietor, the Immortal Waiter. A visit to this enigmatic café puts Chris firmly on the course he is meant to follow.

Fate and the Immortal Waiter still have a role to play. Two friends—a bar owner and a local shoe store owner—secretly recorded one of Chris’s performances and sent it to their contacts in the music industry. This act marked the beginning of his rise to fame. However, Fate knew that something was still amiss. While becoming a singer/songwriter was his destiny, it was not the entirety of his life’s purpose. Fate, along with the Waiter, were determined to lead him not just to professional success, but to what he truly desires, and to save his life, along with his soul.

One night, on his way home from the bar, Chris stumbles upon a mysterious café with an enigmatic Waiter who seems to know exactly who Chris is. This café, which was not there the night before and disappears as soon as he leaves, offers him a view of his future—but with a warning that once seen, the future can change; this change can be by design or accident. That brief glimpse sets him on his true path.

To save your soul and find true love, sometimes you need to Just Walk Away. Sometimes, the Immortal Waiter will be your guide.
