Reluctant Chronicler of the World of the Immortal Waiter
Ron Mindzak spent most of his life doing respectable things—engineering, solving difficult problems, contributing to projects connected to the Apollo missions, the Space Shuttle, NASA weather satellites, oil exploration, and other endeavors generally considered useful by civilized society.
Then, through what he maintains was an entirely unavoidable series of events, he met the Waiter.
Since then, Ron has served as the unwilling chronicler of the Immortal Waiter’s adventures, manipulations, interventions, and occasionally catastrophic attempts to “help” civilization survive itself.
According to the Waiter, Ron was chosen to chronicle the Waiter’s journals for reasons entirely his own.
Ron was also chosen to help the Waiter save the world—for reasons Fate alone understands.
Through Ron’s journals, readers have been granted access to a hidden world where:
- Myth and history routinely ignore established boundaries
- Science and magic coexist under mutual protest
- Entire civilizations may rise or fall over a single cup of coffee
Ron insists he merely records what happens.
The Waiter accepts what Ron writes. More or less.
Helen remains unconvinced they should work together.
